Dr. Alexander J. Shaia
Nov 7-8, 2008

Fri 6:30 dinner thru Sun lunch, Program $345

The Four Gospels like the four seasons tell of one universal, sequential and cyclical journey of Spirit.  Over the course of this retreat, we will make one round of the Four Gospels and see how each gospel tells of one season, its question and practice. Dr. Shaia has named this four-fold path, Quadratos. His work is also providing an answer for why the early Christians were inspired to choose precisely the four traditional gospels.

How do we face change? (Matthew—Autumn)

How do we move through suffering? (Mark—Winter)

How do we discover joy? (John—Spring)

How do we mature in service? (Luke/Acts—Summer)

In 2000, Dr. Shaia’s career path took a dramatic turn, when he discovered the ancient truth held within the original four gospel reading cycle. As he shared his discovery with friends and clients, he found that it was of practical use to them. It helped them to understand the gospels better, and to use them more effectively in their lives. Alexander became determined to share his conclusions more widely - to speak and write a book about the universal map he had discovered in the four gospels, and christened quadratos.
