“Only say the word and I shall be healed” is a profession of faith but it is also a reminder of the power of the word and of the Word. In a meditative and thoughtful approach to the writings of Henri Nouwen, participants will explore what needs to be said, whether in prayer, in community, or in the world.

The Rev. Chris Glaser studied with Henri Nouwen at Yale Divinity School, and maintained a friendship afterward. Upon Nouwen’s death in 1996, Chris began leading workshops and retreats for participants to build on Henri’s legacy. Ultimately he wrote, “Henri’s Mantle: 100 Meditations on Nouwen’s Legacy,” (Pilgrim Press: 2002).
