Agape 2008
Divine Romance
October 31-November 2, 2008
Fri 6:30 dinner thru Sun lunch
Program $115
In its fourteenth year, Agape is an annual retreat for transgender, bisexual, lesbian, gay and other adults aged 18 to 30 who come to celebrate the wild beauty of the mountains that hold and surround Kirkridge. This year, you are invited to ponder, question, understand, experience, and celebrate collectively the spiritual state of being that we like to call Divine Romance. Consider that the great I AM draws us continuously into deepening intimacy and relationship, romancing us in ways we never before imagined possible and teaching us how to love each other, if we dare to listen and learn. Perhaps loving our queerness means coming to love the self we see reflected in the mirror so that we can more perfectly love the Body in whom we are united with the rest of Creation.
Bring your stories, your musical instruments, your poetry, and your passions to share at our Saturday night Talent Show, and select your favorite Halloween costume for our Queens Ball. Spread the word, bring a friend, and come experience Divine Romance with Agape this fall.
This is an alcohol-free event made possible by the New Generation Fund
