Welcome to Kirkridge

Since 1942, Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center has been providing a place for rest and renewal to pilgrims along life’s journey. We are located on the beautiful Kittatinny Ridge of eastern Pennsylvania near the Delaware Water Gap and the Pocono Mountains region. Our retreats, our hospitality, our beautiful vistas and our sacred ground have blessed and continue to bless countless lives.

Our Mission
Kirkridge is a retreat and study center
rooted in Christ
close to the earth
Where people of diverse backgrounds
find community
And experience the transforming power of the Spirit
for personal wholeness, reconciliation
and justice in the world

Kirkridge’s emphasis from the beginning was the integration of contemplation and action for justice, or "Picket and Pray." Those early pilgrims and seekers who came to Kirkridge understood that the life of faith requires not only action to transform the world toward greater shalom, but also the cultivation of a deep spirituality to sustain that compassionate action. The legacy continues today.

With a wide variety of programming and a growing constituency of folks from many faith traditions, we celebrate our presence as a Christian center with an ecumenical spirit and an inter-faith welcome. We hope to welcome you soon to this sacred space called Kirkridge.

Kirkridge is located on the beautiful Kittatinny Ridge of Eastern Pennsylvania near the Delaware Water Gap and Pocono Mountain region. We are 85 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. The nearest airports are the Lehigh Valley International (Allentown), and Newark International in that order.

Kirkridge offers over 50 events each year for laity and clergy in such areas as Theological - Biblical Renewal, Contemplative - Sabbath, Justice - Peace - Ecology, Personal Growth and, Spirituality and the Arts. The chief religious question is not, "What must I do to be saved?" but rather, "What must we all do to save the earth?"
